Final Publication

The publication presents the results of the europass+ Leonardo project, which the Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training carried out in collaboration with a number of European partners between 2006 and 2008. The Copenhagen Process and the promotion of lifelong learning have led to growing interest at European level in the transparency of learning outcomes. In the framework of the europass+ project, VET experts from seven European countries have developed an online instrument to support trainees in documenting informally acquired competences using the Europass CV template.
The publication is soon available via the website of the German National Agency www.na-bibb.de.

Piloting Phase

During the current and coming project phase the online-support system will be tested in a mobility project specifically for this purpose in order to achieve further improvement. Participants (trainees and responsible staff members in companies) having used the online-support tools will be interviewed at the beginning and end of the exchange.
Based on the results the final version of the online support tool will be developed and included in an expanded online help system for the europass CV (http://europass.cedefop.eu.int/instruments/cv/step0.do).

State of the Art Report from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, UK, Poland and Norway

During the first project phase in all participating countries expert interviews regarding state of the art of competence pass initiatives will be conducted. Integrated in the explorative study will be national europass agencies, ministries and enterprises who are already using instruments for assessment of (informally acquired) competencies at national or enterprise level. Outcomes of the interviews and desk research will be used for the development of the online-support instrument for the europass CV.
